Introducing our first ever Sewing Competition – and the Challenge is –
What is your best sewing TIP or TRICK to help you sew better ??
I would like to announce our first competition for 2014, and would like to invite you all to participate in this competition for readers of my blog at Designer Stitch School of Fashion and Design.
I am sure that you have a “Tried and True “ sewing “Tip or Trick ” that enables you to better sew your garment .
So I would like to invite you to enter our competition by submitting details of your “tip or trick” and if you have any accompanying photos ( but this is not necessary ) .
Pplease contact me here with your ” Tip or Trick” and I will then post your entry to my blog along with author details etc.
( if you have accompanying photos please contact me and I will send send you an email address for attachment)
This competition will be initially judged by a very experienced sew’ist of 30 years – Cal J.
Her task is to pick the best 3 of all the entries and then I am going to open it back up to you. I will create a poll where you can vote for your favourite tip or trick and then I will be honored to announce the winner.
The competition details are:
Opens : Saturday 15th March
Runs For : 2 weeks (until 3rd April ) and is open to everyone to submit their ideas.
Then Cal will have 1 day to choose the final 3, and then I will open up the judging to you from Saturday 5th April
until Tuesday 8th April- 4 days for you to cast your vote..
And the winner will be announced on Thursday 10th April.
And First Prize is – a $150 worth of fabric from the Italian Warehouse Factory Sale which is opening again for 1 day only on Saturday 12th April.
Given that the fabric in the warehouse is only $3.50 – $8.00 this prize equates to a great deal of possible STASH acquisition.
Plus as an extra part of this prize you will be allowed personal access to the factory an hour prior to the doors opening for your own PRIVATE shopping experience.
So to be eligible to win this prize you must be able to attend the warehouse in Oakleigh, Victoria on the morning of the sale to receive your fabric of your choice prize…
(unfortunately if you cannot attend or live to far away you will forfeit your prize – and there will be no negotiations- at ALL !!!! )
Proudly sponsored by Adriana from Fabric Allsorts and Jim from Christopher George.
So everyone is invited to join in the competition –
We would all love to read your best sewing “Tip or Trick”.
Read all about my top-stitching trick here – without the use of specialized top-stitching thread.
Cheerio and Good luck to you all.
Ann from Designer Stitch School of Fashion and Design.
