When I first spoke to Ann on the phone I said to my husband George – ” she is so nice”. Originally I trained as a pattern maker/production manager so I am attending classes with Ann who is updating my skills and challenging me far beyond what I thought possible.

Ann has guided me from complete novice to creating my first garment in just a few lessons. I have made my very own pyjama pants, and my wife is very impressed. I’ve been taught everything from threading a machine and the different stitches to cutting out patterns and fabric, pressing and stitching and hemming. Next to make is a shirt and after that I might make something for my wife, who is worried I might get better at sewing than she is!
